આઈ.ટી.આઈ અગાસી ની શરૂઆત વર્ષ ૧૯૮૯ માં ગ્રામ ભારતી ઉતર બુનિયાદી, માધ્યમિક શાળા ,અગાસી નાં મકાનમાં ભાડેથી વાયરમેન, ગુજરાતી ટાઈપીંગ, આર્મેચર મોટર રીવાઈંડીગ,કારપેંંન્ટર જેવા ટ્રેડોથી થઈ હતી. તે સમયે આજુબાજુ નાં ગામોને કોઈ પણ કોર્ષ ની તાલીમ લેવી હય તો ૨૫ થી ૫૦ કિમી. દુર જવુ પડતુ હતું તે સમયે ગુજરાત સરકારશ્રી દ્વ્રારા આઈ.ટી.આઈ ની શરૂઆત થતા આજુબાજુનાં ગામોના લોકો નો સમય અને પેસા નો બચાવ થયો હતો.
